The Business and Economic Development Advisor is responsible for assisting and/or leading regional projects, core operational functions, referral and client services, economic and business development initiatives, implementation of activities to address strategic priorities and various committee and liaison work assigned by the CEO. The Business and Economic Development Advisor is accountable to the Chiefs of IFNA and the Board of the IFNA Limited Partnership and their member communities reporting directly to the CEO.

PROGRAM GOALS

We strive to improve the economic position of IFNA member First Nations by leveraging existing partnerships, developing new partners, and increasing business and industry activity.

PROGRAM SERVICES

The Economic Development Department provides the following services:

  • Planning: coordinating and planning development efforts with various stakeholders;
  • Research: gathering information and statistics, coordinating community economic and business information;
  • Economic and Business Development: ongoing retention, expansion, attraction and growth activities;
  • Analysis: analysing data and identifying tools to improve economic and business development
