Tragedy in Muskrat Dam

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of community member Brandon Blake Neeb-Ban Ross. Brandon passed away on July 8th, 2019. He was 30 years old. He left behind wife Karya Berdy and their three children, Jayven Ross, Treyven Ross, and Kaylee Ross.

A viewing has been arranged from 12pm-1pm on Friday, July 12th at the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home. Following the viewing, the casket and family will travel to Muskrat Dam. The funeral service has been scheduled for 1pm on Saturday, July 13th at St. Matthew Anglican Church in Muskrat Dam for anyone who would like to attend. The funeral service will be followed by a burial service at the Blackwater Bay Cemetery with the Presiding Reverend Roy Morris.

“The whole community mourns the loss of Brandon,” says Chief Vernon Morris of Muskrat Dam. “We will support Karya and we will help one another through this difficult time.”
