Lac Seul Mental Health Forum
Closing the Gap between Grief and Growth
Date: October 3-5, 2023 | Place: Lac Seul Event Centre
The IFNA Health Department is dedicated to supporting families in all IFNA communities who are living through grief. IFNA is in the process of developing an in-person Mental Health Forum for each community, starting this October with Lac Seul First Nation. This Forum aims to provide an opportunity to help families begin the tough journey through healing, peace, and growth.

The program’s goal is to close the gap between grief and growth by providing a safe space to help families move through the cycle of growth and through grief.
The Mental Health Forum includes;
2 days of workshops and self-care sessions
Half a day of review and reflection
Workshops hosted by Hospice Northwest, North Wind, Maanii Anwatin Wellness and more
Counselling support
Breakfast, lunch and snacks
Healing circle
The content of this Forum is geared towards older adults. We recommend that attendees be 16 years or older.
The Lac Seul Mental Health Forum will be taking place in Lac Seul, October 3-5, 2023. IFNA is planning to bring this event to each community, so if you are interested and want to learn more, contact us at comms@ifna.ca
