Advocacy & Governance

The Advocacy & Governance team supports IFNA leadership and member Nations through policy guidance, governance support, and advocacy at regional, provincial, and federal tables. The department works closely with Chiefs, Councils, and community representatives to help interpret legislation, develop governance structures, and advance the political priorities identified by communities.

Through this work, IFNA helps reinforce governance capacity and supports member Nations in advancing their rights, priorities, and self-determined direction.
